How do you feel when new paradigms rock your world i.e., “WOW! I never thought of that,” “I never heard of that,” “Could I really do that?,” “Could I really have that?” “What else is possible?” or to being speechless – when the only word you can say is WOW?

The excitement you feel as possibilities open in your life urging you to expand and generate new adventures filling your life, relationships and business with vibrance, ease and joy is what Journey Beyond Belief brings to you.

As your Coach and Guide, I provide support and direction as you learn new skills and gain new perspectives through accessing your inner navigation system or GPS — Guidance Positioning System to:

  • Successfully navigate life’s transitions
  • Embrace change rather than fear it
  • Create more authentic, happy, playful relationships
  • Live a life full of creativity and fun!

Skills You’ll Learn

  • Increased access to and confidence in your intuition
  • Coping skills for stress
  • Increased self awareness and confidence
  • Accuracy in reading the signals from your knowing and body
  • More clarity and utilization of your gifts and talents
  • Improved personal/business relationships
  • New perspectives/skills for problem solving and handling conflict
  • Increased creativity and fun!

Processes We’ll Use

Through sessions in person or by phone anywhere in the country, we’ll choose from the following buffet of processes and tools to provide personalized support to meet your specific needs and achieve your desired outcomes:

  • Life Vibrance Barometer and Relationship Vibrance Barometer – Each barometer gauges your levels of vibrance within key areas of your life and relationships reflecting what is out of balance.
  • Accessing Consciousness Through “Running the Bars” and Clearing Statements and other Energetic Bodywork processes
  • Labyrinths – are ancient sacred symbols having one path to/from the center, used for walking meditation and as a metaphor for your life journey. See Labyrinth section to learn more.
  • Past Life Regression – Reincarnation is the idea that we live many lives on earth, each life being influenced by our former lives. References to reincarnation appear in all major world religions. Past life regression is a hypnotic process allowing you to access from your unconscious mind previous life experiences that can unlock the core issues of your current and future life challenges while paving the way to profound, positive change in your life. Accessing your soul records and stories deepen understanding of who you are and your purpose in this life. The process is completely safe; only helpful information will be revealed to you.
  • House/Business Space Clearings/Blessings– Everything is energy and consciousness that is constantly changing. In these transformative and pivotal times, it is essential to your health and well-being that your home and office spaces support you in remembering who you are and why you are here. Harmonizing and balancing the energy in your space(s) opens channels within those spaces so that healing energy will radiate as a beacon to the world! Clearing and blessing your space creates energetic shifts that:
    • Increase knowing around purpose and next steps
    • Provide more balance and harmony after a relationship breakup
    • Attract a buyer/renter for your property
    • Increase business and prosperity
    • Attract better employees
    • Increase creativity and confidence
    • Provide more restful, sound sleep
    • Increase clearer communication and less conflict
  • Dowsing – an ancient practice used to align with earth energies and locate underground water. Using “L” rods and pendulums, dowsing bridges the gap between the rational and intuitive, connecting us to our “6th sense” or higher self allowing access to information and guidance to assist you in accessing answers for many life questions, finding lost objects, missing people, and determining the vitality in foods to name a few.
  • Rituals and Ceremonies – See Labyrinths and Ceremonies on this page.

Ceremonies to Celebrate Life’s Turning Points

Turning Point CeremonyOur life journeys move through various phases, some occurring naturally such as birth, puberty, menopause, death; others are of our choosing, such as infant namings, marriage, renewal of vows, civil unions, divorce, job change, and moving. In our culture, we seldom consciously honor and celebrate the seasons and transitions of our lives. This disconnection from personal and life rhythms creates misalignment between each other, Spirit and our selves.

Clarifying how we want to relate to these changes while consciously designing ritual to individually and collectively celebrate where we have been and where we are going deepens and enriches our lives and relationships. While there are many ways to create ceremonies and rituals, the labyrinth, an ancient pattern and archetype for peace and transformation, beautifully mirrors our life and spiritual journeys. The circle, inherent in the labyrinth design, symbolizes wholeness while the spiral, inherent in the labyrinthine energy, represents death and rebirth.

The 3-Circuit Celebration Labyrinth, designed and created by Rev. Judith Joyce, can be used to support rituals for the personal transitions we experience as well as community rituals honoring the passage of the seasons, anniversaries and other community events.

Contact Judith Joyce, Ordained Interfaith Minister, to co-create your unique, personalized and heart-centered ceremony or ritual.

Weddings

WeddingYour wedding is one of the most important and exciting events in your life. A day of dreams come true and the beginning of a life-changing journey for both of you. If you want the ceremony to be the highlight of this wonderful day reflecting who you are individually while capturing who you both want to become and what you want to create together through your marriage, you and Rev. Judith Joyce are a perfect match! Together we can create a personalized, heart-centered ceremony.

Free Consultation

The first step is to begin the conversation about what you want and how I work. As with all relationships, the chemistry between the three of us is critical to the success of our co-creative partnership. This is the chance for us to know if we’ll feel comfortable working together. The option of using a labyrinth as a framework for your ceremony is also available. Explanation of what that is and how it would be used in your ceremony would be included in this discussion. If we decide to move forward together, we’ll embark upon the following process. To begin, connect with me.

The Co-Creative Process

WeddingA questionnaire that you each will complete is used as a starting point to facilitate my getting to know you both better and provide a context for how your individual journeys have led you to this time and place.

You will be given an outline of the “traditional” components of a ceremony to assist in guiding your choices of what you want. This includes any personal aspects or rituals you want to include in the ceremony i.e., Native American rituals, hand fasting – a Celtic tradition, honoring aspects of nature, or whatever supports your spiritual connection. You are encouraged to write any aspects of the ceremony, if you’d like. Sample ceremonies and other resources are provided to expand your perspectives on what’s possible and clarify how you want your ceremony to look and feel. Drafts will be created, discussed, refined and revised until the ceremony you want is finalized.

Site Visit and Contingency Plans

WeddingA visit to the wedding site should happen at least a month prior to the ceremony. If the wedding is planned to be outdoors, contingency plans for moving it indoors in case of bad weather will be developed.

Timing

My commitment to you is to have the ceremony completed and ready at least one month prior to the wedding date. The last month of preparations is stressful enough without having the ceremony completion add to the stress. Your commitment to meeting agreed upon time frames and being present during the creation process is critical to a successful and stress free outcome. To that end, it is ideal to have at least 4 – 6 months lead time prior to the wedding date. When I work with couples within shorter time frames, your agreement to being available on short notice and to provide quick turnaround is crucial.

I am not available to perform weddings if there is less than one month available for preparation.

Services Provided

  • Co-creation of a personalized, heart-centered ceremony
  • Pre-marital counseling
  • Facilitation of a full rehearsal usually the day before the wedding, ideally at the same time the wedding is scheduled, with musicians, photographer and all wedding participants present.
  • If a labyrinth is being used for an outdoor wedding, creation of the labyrinth will be done the day before the wedding prior to the rehearsal. If the Celebration Labyrinth is being used for an indoor ceremony, it will be in place for the rehearsal.

Cost

$400 for listed services– 50% due at time of agreement to work together with the balance due on or before the wedding date.

An additional $100 will be charged if a labyrinth is used indoors or outdoors.

Labyrinths

What Are Labyrinths?

Unlike mazes, which have dead ends, multiple paths and tricks challenging your mind to figure out the puzzle or “mind game,” labyrinths are ancient, archetypal symbols for peace and transformation having one path – to and from the center – allowing your mind to relax so you can access the intuitive, creative parts of yourself. Through consciously using the labyrinth, your questions can be answered, spiritual awareness can be enhanced, and knowing can arise from confusion.

While labyrinths’ origins are unknown, they have been used for over 3,500 years as sacred symbols in many cultures and spiritual traditions, such as the Medicine Wheel of the Hopi Indians, the Jewish Cabbalah and the pre-Christian Classical Labyrinth. Designed according to Sacred Geometry, they create a sacred space intertwining the worlds of the seen and unseen increasing access to intuition and spirit. When you embark on your labyrinth journey, you are stepping into energy similar to that found in earth domes and pyramids while touching the spirits of those who have gone before you.

The Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth and the Chartres-Style Labyrinth are the two most commonly known and used labyrinths. While their designs and energies are quite different, each carry powerful energies to support your spiritual, emotional and physical health and well-being.

Both these designs, as shown in the pictures below, are owned by Judith Joyce and used during classes, events and retreats in a variety of settings. See Labyrinth Uses for more information on how labyrinths can be used.

The Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth

Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth Illustration

Michael Green, in his book “Crop Circles – Harbingers of World Change”, called the seven-circuit pattern one of the most profound spiritual mandalas in existence as an archetypal paradigm of spiritual development for mankind. Traced back more than 3,500 years to an inscribed clay tablet from the Mycenaean palace in Pylos, Greece, it has also been found in countries throughout the world such as Peru, Arizona, Iceland, Egypt, India, Scandinavia and Sumatra. Cultures like the Hopi Indians still use labyrinths today.

Classical Seven Circuit LabyrinthIn Sweden, land of numerous prehistoric labyrinths, many of the oldest ones seem to have an orientation towards the Summer Solstice Sunset. Fisherman built them before going to sea to ensure good wind and a good catch.

The seven circuit classical design is the most widely found and used pattern in the world. It Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinthhelps connect us to the earth and to those ancient ones who have walked before us. The labyrinth journey is a metaphor for our life’s journey and symbolic of one’s spiritual journey occurring in three phases: walking to the center is a time of shedding, surrendering, opening; in the center – a time of illumination/enlightenment, receiving Spirit’s light or touching the light within; walking out from the center is a time of integration and actively bringing one’s light/gifts into the world. We are reminded that our journey isn’t complete until we have stepped into the world using our gifts and talents to serve others.

Walking the labyrinth is a moving meditation engaging body, mind and spirit. Physiologically, the right and left sides of the brain and the fluidic system of the body are balanced. Many people remark they feel at peace or peaceful after a walk, making it a wonderful practice for stress reduction.

Chartres-Style Labyrinth

Chartres Style Labyrinth Illustration

This eleven-circuit labyrinth, is a replica of the one constructed during the early 1200s AD in the floor of the Chartres Cathedral in France. It and others were built in cathedrals across Europe when the pilgrimages to the Holy Land became too dangerous for Christians during the Crusades. This pattern thus symbolizes a spiritual journey to the center (to God – to one’s Self) and a return, renewed, bringing God’s light into the world.

One of several interpretations of the six petals, or Rose, in the center is the realms of creation. Beginning at the left as you enter and going clockwise are: the Mineral Kingdom, the Plant Kingdom, the Animal Kingdom, the Human Kingdom, the Angelic Kingdom, and the Kingdom of the Unknown. Lying, standing, kneeling, sitting in the center and opening to the connection and guidance of the Universe can bring light, power and healing.

Chartres Style LabyrinthPeople begin the walk in many ways – asking for answers or guidance, open to what the experience will bring, chanting a mantra, unsure of why they are there. Once on the path and secure that one can’t get lost, the mind begins to release its need to control allowing other senses to take over. Walking one step at a time, a sense of where we are and how far or near to the center is lost. Walking as an “observer” can reveal patterns and similarities to our lives and how we live them, providing great insights into who we are and how we can make the changes needed to enrich our lives.

Returning from the center, many experience renewal, increased energy, knowing and willingness to act in new ways in the world. Every walk is different, even for the same person, and the effects of walking are cumulative – the more often you walk over time, the deeper the experiences can become. The labyrinth provides countless opportunities for new levels of understanding and healing. Research has shown that the labyrinth’s energy can align and balance the chakras and the fluidic systems in the body, creating feelings of balance and peace for the walker.
