Welcome to my Journey Beyond Belief! Since childhood I’ve believed that life and work were meant to be fun, not the painful drudgery that I saw in most adults including my parents. My curiosity about what made people, including myself, “tick” started my life-long journey of discovering who I really am and creating a playful, joyous life. My deep desire, and job (joy of being) description, is lighting the path to joy and peace while supporting you in building a strong foundation for the future based on who you are becoming and what you care about.
Learning Experiences
In addition to a B.S. Degree in Education, my 25+ year corporate career as a Human Resources Executive and 15+ years as an entrepreneur gave me extensive experience in coaching, training and development, management and consulting. Over thirty years of personal and spiritual development has led me to become a Certified Conscious Relationship & Body-Mind Vibrance Coach, Access Bars Facilitator, Certified Part-Life Regression Counselor, Labyrinth Educator/Creator, Esoteric Reiki Practitioner, Ordained Interfaith Minister and Dowser, allowing me to create a uniquely integrated approach to my private practice, classes, retreats and ceremonies.
Major Turning Points
My life’s journey has been full of major turning points and a broad array of life situations including:
- Marriage
- Career change #1 from public school teaching to business
- Job transfer
- Divorce
- Single parenthood
- Many years of therapy
- Mother’s Alzheimer’s disease
- Participation in Adult Children of Alcoholics 12-step program to deal with the effects of my father’s alcoholism
- Choosing a change in my executive career path to become an individual contributor, which on the surface looked to many like a demotion but to me it was a major step toward being true to myself, better utilizing my gifts and talents while moving closer to my dream
- Leaving the corporate world and starting my own consulting, coaching and training business
- Deaths of both parents, a brother and two of the people I loved most in the world dying within 2 months of each other
- Facing and overcoming major financial difficulties
- Two cross country moves – from Texas to New York City in 1976 and from Vermont to Arizona in 2006
- The only major life transition I’ve not experienced is retirement!
Next Steps
Having re-birthed Journey Beyond Belief from Spirit Matters in 2008 as the next evolution of my creative process, much excitement and wonder fill me as I anticipate the next phases of my journey!
