Loving relationships with ourselves and our bodies are the most important relationships we can have.
“Love they neighbor, as thy self”, one of the Ten Commandments, tells us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, and yet, loving ourselves is rarely anything we’re taught.
The concept of loving myself, let alone my body, was never part of my early learning. In fact, I was taught to cover my body and even be ashamed of it.
What messages did you receive about you and your body from family, teachers, religious leaders, magazines and movies as you were growing up?
What if our lifelong search for unconditional love has never worked because we were taught to look outside ourselves, when the TRUTH is, the source of all love is actually inside each of us?
It’s only when we allow ourselves to feel and express that love for ourselves, that we will see it reflected back to us from the outside.
In today’s society, that’s a hard truth to accept. But, what’s the alternative?
How has going down the path of self-destruction worked for you?
Studies show that millions of people suffer daily from self-hatred and an unhealthy relationship with their bodies, food, and weight:
** The average woman worries about the size and shape of her body EVERY 15 MINUTES.
** Over 50% of women say their body disgusts them.
** 92% of women say they want to change some aspect of their appearance, mostly body weight and shape.
** 86% say they routinely avoid pleasurable activities such as shopping for clothes, swimming or having sex, until they lose weight.
Shaming and degrading ourselves, blocks the path to our greatest love, joy, and peace as well as to our natural weight.
Truly loving ourselves where we are right now, warts and all, allows transformation within us to experience inner peace, increased confidence and living our dreams .

What is Self-Love?
When you love and accept yourself unconditionally:
* You are free to be yourself.
* You know in your core that you have great value and worth.
* You feel nurtured, cared for, and understood.
* You listen to your intuition.
* You forgive yourself.
* You know you are OK just the way you are right now.
* You are willing to take the time needed to rejuvenate your soul.
* You show yourself and others that you are worthy of being loved.
* You more easily fully love others and receive love from them.
